New Mahindra Quanto 2012 india Review

Indian UV segment is kind of ruled by Mahindra & Mahindra as it has been manufacturing SUVs for the Indian market for more than a decade and has been doing pretty well. And in its passion for innovativeness, this year it is planning to bring out India’s first sub-four-metre SUV. It is the shorter version of Xylo which it first named as Mini Xylo and then renamed it to Quanto.

Below is new Mahindra Quanto 2012 review to give you a deeper insight of this wonderful little UV. Taking the name from the word “Quantum” the upcoming UV from M&M got renamed into Quanto from what it was earlier called, Mini Xylo. Interestingly, the car will be available only in diesel variant. Perhaps, the company has understood the present buying trend and has not wasted its energy over producing what will get lesser attention!

It sports 1.5L diesel engine which produces a peak power of 100BHP @ 3750RPM and top torque of 24.3kgm @ the rate of 1600 to 2800RPM. It offers a great acceleration reaching the mark of 100kmph within a few seconds and offers a really smooth pick up. With its five speed manual gearbox it works quite powerfully.

The compact SUV comes with slightly smaller wheels and since it has been kept below 4 metres in length, the dimensions are slightly smaller with lesser length and width. This may make you feel a bit cramped inside however it promises to adjust seven people somehow.

Interiors are going to be attractive with A-1 quality fabrics used to upholster the seats. The features offered by the SUV are equally good that makes your heart urge to own it. You get power steering, power windows, and great performing Air conditioning. It comes loaded with good suspension system that promises smooth and comfortable ride through all kinds of roads. The presence of features like ABS makes it completely safe to drive. Safety part is further enhanced by dual front airbags, front fog lamps, crumple zones, etc.

As the features of SUV and compactness of an everyday car, it will prove a most fascinating vehicle that will easily catch the attention of today’s young buyers. It will prove truly versatile vehicle fit for all road types and all types of travelling whether a small shopping errand in the city or a weekend splashing out in suburbs, or a cool safari through the rough roads in some remote area.

It is expected to produce a mileage around 15 to 18kmpl. With its reduced length kept lesser than 4 metre, it will save you on excise duty. Though the actual price is not yet declared, it is expected to be price tagged between Rs. 4.5 to 5.5 lakh.
